Mezcal Amarás Espadín Reposado
A Smooth, Bold Journey Through the Heart of Oaxaca
Mezcal Amarás Espadín Reposado is a premium, artisanal mezcal that captures the essence of Oaxaca’s rich distilling tradition. Crafted from the finest Espadín agave, this mezcal undergoes a careful aging process in oak barrels, giving it a smooth, rounded character with layers of complexity. The result is a mezcal that beautifully marries the bright, earthy flavors of agave with the nuanced depth of aged wood.
The agave for Mezcal Amarás is hand-harvested from the hills of Oaxaca, where the espadín plants are slow-grown to their peak maturity. After roasting in traditional underground pits and distilling in copper stills, the spirit is rested in oak barrels for up to 6 months, imparting a rich amber hue and a touch of oak, vanilla, and subtle smokiness.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Earthy agave with hints of roasted herbs, citrus zest, and a whisper of smoke.
- Palate: A smooth, velvety texture with flavors of caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, and a faint touch of leather.
- Finish: A long, warm finish with lingering smoky notes and a slight peppery kick.
Whether enjoyed neat, in a classic cocktail, or simply sipped slowly, Mezcal Amarás Espadín Reposado offers a sophisticated, yet approachable experience for both seasoned mezcal aficionados and newcomers alike. It’s the perfect choice for those seeking a mezcal with depth, balance, and the unmistakable soul of Oaxaca.
