Clynelish 26-Year-Old Natural Cask Strength 1996 – Prima & Ultima
A rare and exceptional expression from one of Scotland's most esteemed distilleries, Clynelish 26-Year-Old Natural Cask Strength 1996 – Prima & Ultima is a stunning single malt whisky that offers a deep and unfiltered glimpse into the heart of the Highlands. Distilled in 1996 and aged for 26 years in hand-selected oak casks, this limited-edition release is part of Diageo’s prestigious Prima & Ultima collection, showcasing Clynelish's renowned character at its purest form, bottled at natural cask strength.
On the nose, the whisky reveals a complex bouquet of citrus zest, honeyed malt, and fresh orchard fruits, with underlying hints of toasted oak, beeswax, and subtle floral notes. The palate is rich and textured, unveiling layers of tropical fruits, creamy vanilla, and spiced oak, balanced by the distinctive waxy character that Clynelish is known for. A delicate influence of white pepper and sweet baking spices adds further complexity, leading to a long and elegant finish with notes of butterscotch, citrus zest, and a gentle, lingering warmth.
Housed in a refined bottle and presented with the elegance befitting its rare status, Clynelish 26-Year-Old Natural Cask Strength 1996 is an extraordinary opportunity for whisky connoisseurs to experience the unadulterated essence of one of the most sought-after distilleries in Scotland.
A limited release—perfect for collectors and aficionados seeking an unparalleled whisky experience.
