Convite Mezcal Tepextate
An exceptional and rare expression from the heart of Oaxaca, Convite Mezcal Tepextate is a masterful showcase of the artistry and tradition of Maestro Mezcalero, Eduardo Ángeles. Crafted using the Tepextate agave, a wild variety known for its complexity and depth of flavor, this mezcal is a true reflection of the region’s terroir. The Tepextate agave takes between 25 to 30 years to reach maturity, yielding a spirit of unparalleled richness and intensity.
On the nose, Convite Mezcal Tepextate offers a vibrant and complex bouquet of earthy agave, fresh herbs, and citrus zest, intertwined with hints of smoky embers and a subtle touch of mineral notes. The palate is rich and layered, with flavors of roasted agave, dried fruit, and spiced oak, balanced by an undercurrent of tropical fruit and a soft, warming smokiness. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering notes of earthy sweetness, light spice, and a trace of smoke, making it a truly captivating and memorable experience.
