Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal Tobalá
A rare and exquisite expression, Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal Tobalá showcases the delicate yet complex character of the wild Tobalá agave, revered for its small size and concentrated flavors. Harvested from the rugged, high-altitude terrains of Oaxaca, this artisanal mezcal is crafted using traditional methods, including slow roasting in earthen pits, natural fermentation, and double distillation in small copper stills. The result is a bold yet refined spirit that embodies the essence of its terroir.
On the nose, it reveals floral and herbal aromas, layered with hints of ripe tropical fruit, cacao, and sweet earthiness. The palate is smooth and expressive, offering rich notes of baked agave, citrus zest, nutmeg, and vanilla, balanced by a touch of mineral salinity and light smoke. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering flavors of spiced cocoa, roasted nuts, and a whisper of campfire smoke.
