Delord Bas Armagnac L'Authentique
Delord Bas Armagnac L'Authentique is an exceptional expression that exemplifies the artistry and tradition of one of the finest Armagnac producers in the Bas-Armagnac region of southwestern France. Crafted using a blend of carefully selected Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Colombard grapes, this premium Armagnac undergoes a slow and meticulous distillation process in traditional copper pot stills, followed by a long maturation in oak barrels, which imparts a depth of character and complexity.
On the nose, L'Authentique offers a rich bouquet of dried fruits, spiced oak, and a touch of honey, accompanied by subtle aromas of floral notes and a hint of prune. The palate is smooth and velvety, revealing a well-rounded profile with flavors of toasted almonds, caramel, and vanilla, perfectly balanced by a gentle touch of spicy pepper and citrus zest. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of oak, dried fruit, and a slight smoky nuance, making for a memorable and refined experience.
