Dingle Single Malt Irish Whiskey Samhain
A celebration of Ireland’s ancient traditions, Dingle Single Malt Irish Whiskey Samhain is a limited-edition release that pays homage to Samhain, the Celtic festival marking the transition from harvest to winter. As part of Dingle Distillery’s Wheel of the Year series, this exceptional whiskey captures the essence of the season with its deep complexity and rich character, matured in a carefully selected cask profile.
Aged in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in Muscatel wine casks, Samhain offers a distinctive balance of sweet, spiced, and fruity notes. The nose is enticing, with aromas of honeyed malt, dried apricots, orange zest, and toasted oak, intertwined with subtle floral and spice undertones. On the palate, layers of dark berries, caramelized nuts, vanilla, and baking spices unfold, complemented by the influence of the Muscatel finish, adding a gentle sweetness and velvety texture. The finish is long and warming, with lingering notes of oak, spice, and ripe stone fruit.
