Dos Maderas 5+3 Double Aged Rum
Dos Maderas 5+3 is a distinguished double-aged rum that seamlessly blends Caribbean craftsmanship with Spanish refinement. This exceptional spirit is crafted from carefully selected rums from Barbados and Guyana, aged for five years in the Caribbean in American oak casks. It is then transported to Spain, where it undergoes an additional three years of maturation in sherry casks that previously held Dos Cortados Palo Cortado sherry, enriching the rum with exceptional depth and complexity.
On the nose, Dos Maderas 5+3 offers enticing aromas of vanilla, toasted almonds, and hints of oak. The palate is smooth and well-balanced, unveiling layers of caramel, dried fruit, and subtle spice, all wrapped in a velvety texture. The sherry cask influence imparts a refined elegance, leading to a lingering, slightly sweet finish with warm, woody undertones.
Ideal for sipping neat, on the rocks, or as a sophisticated base for premium cocktails, Dos Maderas 5+3 is a testament to the art of double aging, delivering a unique and refined rum experience that bridges the best of the Caribbean and Spain.
