Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood – 114 Proof
A testament to the artistry of Irish whiskey-making, Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood is an exceptional single pot still Irish whiskey, matured in rare virgin Irish oak casks sourced from the historic Kilranelagh Estate in County Wicklow. This remarkable release, bottled at a robust 114 proof, exemplifies the deep connection between Midleton’s world-class distilling tradition and the natural richness of Irish oak, creating a whiskey of unparalleled depth and character.
The nose is elegantly layered, unveiling inviting aromas of honeyed vanilla, ripe orchard fruits, and toasted oak, enhanced by hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and dark chocolate. On the palate, a luxurious mouthfeel reveals flavors of caramelized pear, spiced toffee, and roasted almonds, beautifully balanced by oak spice, clove, and a touch of sweet malt. The finish is long and warming, leaving lingering notes of rich vanilla, dark fruit, and earthy oak tannins, a testament to its exquisite aging process.
Presented in a beautifully designed bottle that reflects its prestige, Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood is a limited-edition release, perfect for collectors and connoisseurs seeking a rare and refined Irish whiskey experience.
