Montelobos Mezcal Artesanal Pechuga
A rare and celebratory expression, Montelobos Mezcal Artesanal Pechuga is a testament to the time-honored traditions of mezcal-making. Crafted in small batches using 100% organic Espadín agave, this exquisite mezcal undergoes a third distillation with a unique Pechuga technique, where a carefully selected blend of seasonal fruits, spices, and a traditional protein is suspended in the still. This process infuses the spirit with an exceptional depth of flavor, making it a mezcal of true artisanal craftsmanship.
The nose is rich and aromatic, offering layers of ripe fruit, warm spice, and subtle smoke, harmonized with floral and herbal undertones. On the palate, it unfolds elegantly, delivering complex notes of roasted agave, citrus zest, clove, cinnamon, and sweet tropical fruit, all balanced by a delicate, savory depth from the Pechuga process. The finish is long, smooth, and refined, leaving traces of light smoke, dried fruit, and warm spice.
