The Dunbrody Madeira Cask Irish Whiskey
The Dunbrody Madeira Cask Irish Whiskey is a refined and complex expression that elevates the traditional smoothness of Irish whiskey with the rich, fruity influence of Madeira wine casks. This exceptional whiskey is expertly aged in carefully selected Madeira casks, which impart a unique depth of flavor, blending the elegance of Irish whiskey with the sweet, wine-forward notes of the famous Portuguese fortified wine.
On the nose, it opens with inviting aromas of dried fruit, warm spices, and a hint of honey, complemented by the subtle richness of oak and vanilla. The palate is smooth and velvety, offering layers of dark fruits like figs and raisins, along with toffee and a touch of baking spice. The Madeira cask finish introduces a lovely, fruity sweetness with hints of red berries, citrus zest, and a gentle oak influence. The finish is long and satisfying, with a lingering sweetness and soft, balanced warmth.
The Dunbrody Madeira Cask Irish Whiskey is an ideal choice for those seeking a whiskey with a sophisticated, wine-influenced twist. Whether enjoyed neat, with a splash of water, or in a classic whiskey cocktail, this remarkable expression offers a smooth, well-rounded experience that showcases the art of cask finishing in a truly memorable way.
