Tomatin 14 Year Old Port Cask Finish – A Rich and Refined Highland Single Malt
Experience the exceptional depth and elegance of Tomatin 14 Year Old Port Cask Finish, a distinguished Highland single malt Scotch whisky that masterfully balances rich fruitiness with velvety smoothness. Aged for over a decade in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in carefully selected Tawny Port casks, this exquisite expression showcases the influence of both American and Portuguese oak, resulting in a whisky of remarkable complexity and character.
On the nose, enticing aromas of ripe berries, dark cherries, and sweet honey are layered with hints of toasted almonds and delicate spice. The palate is luxuriously smooth, unveiling notes of stewed plums, creamy caramel, and rich dark chocolate, complemented by subtle undertones of cinnamon and nutmeg. The Port cask influence lends a luscious depth, leading to a long, warming finish filled with lingering notes of red fruit, oak, and gentle spice.
Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, Tomatin 14 Year Old Port Cask Finish offers a full-bodied and indulgent whisky experience, perfect for those who appreciate a refined balance of sweetness and spice. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to unlock its intricate layers, this premium single malt is a testament to Tomatin’s legacy of craftsmanship and innovation.
